Photo-Touch

A game that entertains all children since they will have to guess which object corresponds to each texture they feel. It is a sensory association game where psychological development is going to work, such as: the sense of touch (tactile discrimination through textures), the acquisition of a vocabulary referring to the textures of objects and tactile memory.

GAME SYSTEM AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF USE

The 16 TACTICS TABS (8 types of texture in duplicate) serve to recognize and discriminate different textures:

1. imitation leather / leather

2. wood

3. Teddy

4. aluminum

5. raffia (sackcloth)

6. plastic

7. curly

8. sandpaper / lime

The 16 PHOTOGRAPHS WITH PHOTOGRAPHS serve to associate the pieces of touches with real objects that have that same texture.

To facilitate the correct association between the tabs and the tabs with photographs, there is a SELF-CURING SYSTEM ON THE REVERSE:

  • The cards with photographs are printed on the reverse the numbering from 1 to 8 according to the texture they represent (there are two objects that represent each texture).
  • The tabs are not printed numbering, but stickers with the numbering from 1 to 8 are provided so that they are pasted on the back of these cards, matching said number with that of the cards with photographs that present objects with the same texture.

The OPAQUE ANTIFACES are used to perform text memorization activities with the TACTING TABLES.

By having 2 TOUCH TABLES for each texture and 2 OPAQUE ANTIFACES, 2 players can participate simultaneously.

ACTIVITIES

WITH THE TACT SHEETS: Recognition and discrimination of textures.

  • With the tabs spread on the table, the student will take one of them and touch it with the fingertips to make a description of the texture: rough or soft, warm or cold, hard or soft, etc.

  • Finally it will name the corresponding texture (wood, aluminum, sandpaper, leather, curl, plastic, raffia or stuffed animal) being able to be helped by the adult, if necessary.

WITH THE TACTICS FILMS AND THE PHOTOGRAPHS WITH PHOTOGRAPHS: Association of textures with objects.
  • A player: With 8 tabs and the 16 cards with photographs extended on the table, the student will take one of the tabs and select the two tabs with photographs of objects that have the same texture, placing them next to the touch tab (one on each side). Once all the tiles have been placed, you will see their backs to see if the numbering of the three tiles matches.

  • Two players: separate the 16 tiles of the touch into two groups of 8 tiles (one tile of each texture), and do the same with the picture tiles. Distribute the 8 tacts and 8 of photographs to each student. Associate each touch sheet with its corresponding photo card (make pairs and check on the back if the association is correct).

WITH THE OPAQUE ANTIFACES AND THE TACTICS FILES: Memorization of textures.

  • With the masks placed and the pieces of touches spread on the table, the student will touch the cards one by one, with the fingertips, to "guess" what texture it is.
  • Separate the 16 tactile pieces into two equal groups of 8 tiles and tell the student that with the mask put them together in pairs.

It includes:

  •  16 texture tiles (9 x 9 cm)

  • 16 chips with images (9 x 9 cm)

  •  2 eye masks
